These brown biscuits are so quick and easy to make and great for that last minute lunch-box filler. This is a recipe which my Mum makes and her Mum before her made. Even if you burn them they taste great!!
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 tablespoon coconut
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and beat well.
Add Golden Syrup, coconut and flour.
Mix until it becomes like cookie dough.
Drop teaspoon sized amounts of dough on greased tray.
Bake in moderate oven for 10 – 15 mins.
Remove from tray and allow to cool on wire rack.
This recipe should make about 40 biscuits.
