This meal is so delicious and the meat literally falls apart when serving it up. There is a lovely sauce from the cooking which you will want to drizzle over your meat and accompanying side dishes. Try this out, it really is so easy!
This meal will feed 6 people, if you have more mouths to feed just double the recipe.
6 pieces Osso Busso
1 tin crushed tomatoes
1 cup red wine
1 teaspoon chilly flakes
1 cup Chicken stock (beef stock can be used)
6 – 8 potatoes
Salt & Pepper
Place slow cooker searing pan over medium heat. If you can not use your slow cooker pan just use a frying pan.
Add oil and onions and fry until onions are clear.
Place Osso Busso into pan and sear on both sides, until lightly brown.
Add red wine, cook for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes, chicken stock, chilly, salt & pepper.
Place in slow cooker and cook on high until it is bubbling, then turn slow cooker on low to cook for about 5 – 6 hours. 1 – 2hrs before serving peel and cut the potatoes into quarters and add to slow cooker.
Steam your vegetables before serving and cover potatoes and vegetables with the sauce in the pan.
